JPY futures: room for extra gains likely

In light of flash data for JPY futures markets from CME Group, open interest shrunk by around 1.9K contracts on Tuesday from Friday’s final 188,021 contracts. On the other hand, volume rose significantly by nearly 37K contracts.

USD/JPY next stop at 112.00 and above

The upside momentum in USD/JPY remains unabated so far. A small decrease in open interest vs. a sharp increment in volume on Tuesday leaves the door open for a test of the critical up barrier at 112.00 the figure and beyond.
