China to grant foreigners more access to its capital markets

In, what could be seen as another attempt to stop capital outflow and prop up the economy/stock market, the Chinese Securities Regulatory Commission is set to grant foreigners more access to its capital markets.

In a statement, released this Wednesday, the regulator is said to revise QFII and RQFII rules in order to broaden access for foreign funds and also to allow more types of investments by foreign funds.
